Pre-Casa
Ages 2.5-3.5 Years
A Gentle Transition to Independence & Learning
At PLM, our Pre-Casa Program is specially designed for children who are ready to take their first steps into a structured learning environment but may still need additional support as they transition from toddlerhood. This program bridges the gap between our Toddler and Casa programs, providing a warm, nurturing space where young learners develop confidence, social skills, and a strong foundation for future academic growth.

What Makes the
Pre-Casa Program Unique?
Montessori Foundations in Action
Pre-Casa children begin exploring key Montessori concepts through age-appropriate, tactile materials that engage their senses and build essential skills, including:
Fine motor skills (grasping, stacking, and manipulating objects)
Concentration and focus through structured activities
Problem-solving and early decision-making skills
Early Language & Communication
At this age, children experience rapid language growth. We support their development by:
Encouraging verbal expression and new vocabulary building
Introducing phonetic sounds through Montessori language materials
Incorporating songs, rhymes, and storytelling to make learning fun
Providing early exposure to the French language through interactive play
Practical Life & Independence
Our young learners develop self-sufficiency through everyday routines. They are encouraged to:
Dress and care for themselves (zipping, buttoning, washing hands)
Set up and tidy their space after activities
Practice meal etiquette (pouring, serving, and cleaning up)
These tasks foster coordination, responsibility, and confidence in their abilities.
Introduction to Math Concepts
Pre-Casa students begin working with Montessori math materials that help them understand numbers and patterns.
Activities include:
Counting and number recognition
Sorting, matching, and sequencing
Hands-on activities using beads, blocks, and tactile materials
